ILLOWA Construction Labor & Management Council

On November 8, 2007, Estes received an award from the ILLOWA Construction Labor and Management Council in recognition of the projects we completed in 2007 that were covered by IMPACT Agreements. ILLOWA is a collaboration of labor, the Tri-City Building Trades Council and management representatives from general contractors and subcontractors.
The IMPACT Agreement came about as a result of a joint effort by union labor and management to better serve the needs of the construction consumer. Estes helped draft this document 20 years ago for use on the construction of the first IMPACT project, ever the Quad City Times building, in 1988.
IMPACT Agreements have been used on a total of 216 projects since inception. Estes has been the contractor on one-forth of the Agreements and has used the IMPACT Agreement almost twice as often as any other contractor.
In the next month, Estes will have ten projects under IMPACT Agreements with more to come. Estes is proud of its partnership with ILLOWA and the Tri-City Building Trades Council.
