Selected as general contractor for ManorCare of West Des Moines a 150-bed skilled nursing facility. The construction is a combination of structural steel with a residential looking facade. The purpose of this design is to maintain a home-like feel. The building is designed around short term and Alzheimer patient needs. Project completed within schedule.
Estes Construction constructed another 120-bed nursing and rehabilitation facility in Bettendorf, Iowa. This is Estes' third project for ManorCare. Estes provided cost input during the final design, yielding a cost savings of almost $1,000,000 without compromising the aesthetics and functionally of the facility.
