Putnam Museum IMAX TheatreDavenport, Iowa
Estes Construction was selected as Construction Manager to build this $12,000,000 facility. The challenge was to locate the IMAX Theatre between the existing Putnam Museum, and the Davenport Museum of Art while maintaining daily operations. PRE-CONSTRUCTION SYSTEMS AND VALUE MANAGEMENT REVIEWS, GENERATED A SAVINGS OF OVER $2,000,000 TO THE OWNER. This building had challenging design elements that required extensive on-site construction expertise such as an elliptical shape, which required 49 feet high cast-in-place concrete walls with six-story high glazing structures.
